Established in 1957, Bako National Park is Sarawak's oldest national park, covering 27 sq km of rainforest, beaches, and dramatic sandstone cliffs. This biodiversity hotspot is home to proboscis monkeys, silver-leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, and over 150 species of birds.

Our guided tour takes you through seven distinct ecosystems, from mangrove forests to kerangas (heath forest), with opportunities to see rare pitcher plants and stunning sea stacks at Teluk Pandan Kecil.

Day 1: Arrival & Jungle Exploration

  • 07:30 - Pickup from Kuching hotels
  • 08:30 - Boat transfer to Bako National Park (20 mins)
  • 09:00 - Orientation at park headquarters
  • 09:30 - Teluk Assam trail (proboscis monkey spotting)
  • 12:00 - Lunch at park canteen
  • 13:30 - Teluk Pandan Kecil hike to stunning viewpoint
  • 17:00 - Return to lodge, free time to relax
  • 19:00 - Dinner and night walk (optional)

Day 2: Coastal Trails & Departure

  • 06:30 - Early morning wildlife spotting
  • 08:00 - Breakfast
  • 09:00 - Lintang Trail (diverse ecosystems)
  • 12:00 - Lunch
  • 13:00 - Teluk Paku beach trail
  • 15:00 - Boat transfer back to jetty

Getting There

Accessible only by boat from Bako Village (30 min from Kuching). We arrange all transfers from your Kuching hotel.
