Best Time to Visit

East Africa offers incredible wildlife viewing year-round, but certain periods provide special events:

Jan-Mar

Calving season in southern Serengeti - predator action

Apr-May

Low season with fewer tourists (some rain)

Jun-Jul

Beginning of migration towards Masai Mara

Aug-Oct

Peak season for river crossings in Masai Mara

Travel Tip

For the best wildlife viewing with comfortable weather, we recommend June-October and January-February. December offers great birdwatching opportunities with migratory species present.
